long summer holiday - Saint Petersburg, Russia

Finally we got a flight from Wien to Saint Petersburg, Russia.
We were so scared to get there, because we do not speak any Russian,
and still we typically thought it was still very dangerous city.
However, unexpectedly, it was fine as long as you travel with care.

I do not know where to write about the trip in Russia. As you know, the country is such a huge, so I encountered so many things and customs I had not met before.

in Saint Petersburg, it was a beautiful water front city.
The river, cannel and boats are everywhere.

my favorite building...

I have never thought this kind of building stands in Russia! Those domes remind me of Indian or Turkish buildings!

long summer holiday - Austria

next country is Austria.
I was exciting to see this country.
As expected, the scenery from the train was amazing.
The Alps was stood there and people live there in valleys.

in Salzburg,

the river, the castle, the high mountains, and the blue sky!

narrow paths and small stairs to the hills.

the power cable cut the sky. but this is really interesting for me.

the tree or the building, which is older?

in Wien, the weather was not good, so I did not enjoy the sun.

but I really enjoyed the old buildings and the city.

It was such a huge city than I expected!

Especially the Museum Hundertwasser is my favorite!

I did not know about him till I came here,

but his drawings are amazing, beautiful and they vary in colours and themes.

He also built some houses collaborating with architects.

They are unusual shape, colours and structures.

This experience makes me to go to Spain to see Gaudi's architecture.

At the Leopold Museum, my favorite artists are,

Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele.

I do not know how they made such fantastic world by painting!

long summer holiday - Slovenia

Next country is Slovenia.
We moved to Ljubljana by train from Zagreb, Croatia.
Croatia is not EU member,
so we had the custom and passport control in the train.

Postaja Cave (Postojnska Jama), the Europian biggest class cave....
It was such a huge space in the cave, and very chilly! 9-10℃.....
I cannot imagine how small they grow in a year,
so this means they have stayed here for ages....

People used to built the castles everywhere,
but can you imagine in the cave?

The forest and the sky from the cave....

Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.
There are beautiful coloured buildings, the river, the hill and the castle.
This remind me of my favorite castle in Edinburgh.

The next city, Bled.
There is a big lake and a small island in there, again castle on the hill.
How beautiful.......

long summer holiday - Croatia

I will write about my longest summer holiday in my life for a couple days.
Those posts would not be just my records of my holiday,
they are all what I saw and met there and what attracted me.
